Y HELO THAR

Tue May 12, 2009, 11:55 AM
Guess what? I have a deviantart. I totally forgot. Seriously. I should probably upload something that I've done this whole time... what with being an art major. So... the last 4 years... lot has happened. I got cancer, quit my job, left Houston, had the tumors (and the rest of my thyroid) removed, adopted a bunny (Lilah, beautiful girl, you'll see pictures when I upload things again), moved to New York, started art school, graduated (A.S. Advertising: Commercial Art), was a finalist in GenCon Indy's Queen of Geeks pageant, stayed in school to get another degree (A.S. Fine Arts, graduating later this month), adopted a second bunny from a friend who couldn't take care of him anymore, got reeeeeally sick earlier this semester, developed blood clots in my leg and lungs, spent a couple of weeks in the hospital and a few more on bed rest, got stuck in a wheelchair until the clots clear up (no ETA :(), and last night my bunny died.

Out with the bad, in with the good. I'm in the process of photographing all my work, to be posted here, 'cause I've got nothing better to do with it. Now that I'm done with all my art classes, I've been drawing on my own for a while. I should upload that stuff, too.

Geekiest of the geeky: While in the hospital I got bored. I mean really bored. More bored than I have been in years. Bored enough to go back to reading fanfiction (haven't since high school). Then I found out the horrible truth: it's largely better written than the trashy novels they sell in the hospital gift shop. A couple were so good as to even inspire fanart from me. I'll be posting those, too. I have sunk (risen?) to new levels of geekiness.
